Karnataka is home to 3 of India’s 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Shivakumar

Shivakumar, GM, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, during an interaction with Travel World Online, said: “Our motto behind the roadshows is to re-connect with our trade partners.”

Karnataka Tourism has organised its first roadshow in North India at Hotel Shangrila, New Delhi, and Shivakumar asked the travel fraternity in Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow to join their roadshow.

Karnataka is home to three of India’s 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Shivakumar said. “Sustainable tourism is an integral part of our process and of whatever we do,” he added.

“Karnataka’s slogan of ‘one state many worlds’ is very apt as this land has been lived, ruled and enriched by renowned dynasties. It has 35 wildlife sanctuaries and five national parks, 17 hill stations, 320 km of beaches, 600 species of birds, 40 waterfalls, 100 species of mammals, 6000+ elephants and 524+ tigers. If you are a nature and wildlife lover, then you can’t miss to visit Karnataka,” he said.
